Scott Banks

Lecturer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I am a Lecturer and Module Lead focussing on investigations.

I was previously a serving police officer with West Midlands Police. My career in law enforcement spanned over a decade and saw me perform roles in both operational and investigative capacities.

As a Detective Sergeant, I specialised in missing person investigations. I also managed the initial investigative response to incidents as part of my Nights DS duties.

In support of my leadership role, I completed a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Managing and Leading People at Coventry University.

I decided to combine my passion for education, policing, and staff development with a move into lecturing.
