Whether you want to train as a teacher or specialise in another educational field, our next level teaching and personalised learning can help you succeed.

Study the Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status degree and you’ll be qualified to teach in primary and early years settings as soon as you graduate. We also offer degrees in Early Childhood Studies and Education Studies, which you can tailor to suit your interests, specialising in special educational needs, for example, mental health or sustainable education.

At the Institute of Education, we will support you at every stage of your professional journey. Our department bring both academic excellence and extensive real-world experience to your teaching, from working as primary school teachers and headteachers to advanced skills teachers and numeracy consultants. You’ll also get plenty of hands-on experience through our network of schools, nurseries and colleges, building your confidence and skills to get you work-ready.
