Mary Hennessy Jones

P/T Lecturer - Education

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I have worked in ten different primary schools across Cheshire over 39 years as a teacher and a Head Teacher.

Four years ago I retired from primary education in schools and joined Staffs Uni to support the training of new teachers.

I work as a School Improvement Partner and consultant in primary schools.

I am Chair of Governors in a large primary school in Crewe and a governor in a secondary school.

I work part time as a tutor supporting students to become the best teachers possible for our children. I believe that the quality of relationship between teacher and pupil is critical to the development of children’s brains, hearts and souls.

The other part of my time I work as an artist in the fields of drawing, printmaking, animation and film.

I am currently studying for an MA in Fine Art.
