Study options

We're on a mission to provide every student with the support they need to succeed. This includes offering different pathways to our courses to allow everyone to learn in a new way that fits their life, and grow in a way that meets their goals.

Foundation years

Foundation years are a direct pathway into higher education for students from non-traditional educational backgrounds and under-represented groups. They allow you to develop your academic study skills, as well as gain a foundational knowledge in your chosen subject. Many of our foundation year classes are delivered at a nearby partner college to help ease the transition to university study.

Placement years

By choosing a placement year, you gain access to our unique connections into industry, taking you through doors that matter.  A placement year allows you to learn on the job, contributing to real-world projects at some of the world's top organisations - in the past, students have had experiences at New Balance, and Bulldog Studios.

Academic support

When you enrol, you’ll be assigned an academic mentor who will be there for you every step of the way.

You'll be able to book one-to-one appointments with specialists or peer mentors, and access online resources. They will be responsible for supporting you as you begin your academic studies and can help with specific needs including:

  • assignment structure
  • academic writing
  • critical thinking
  • effective reading
  • planning work
  • time management
