Connect with industry

Benefit from our extensive links with local and national sporting organisations

Use industry-leading facilities, gain real-world experience and access the latest insight from our world-class research when you study sport and exercise at University of Staffordshire.

We offer industry-relevant courses in Sport and Exercise Science, Coaching, Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Psychology and Therapy. Many are accredited or endorsed by industry bodies, including the Society of Sports Therapists (SST), British Psychological Society (BPS) and British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

Our pioneering teaching bridges learning with significant opportunities for real-world practice and experience. The Sports Therapy Clinic, for example, gives students the chance to use the Rehabilitation Zone to treat both elite athletes and members of the public. You can also volunteer with our Sports Academy, delivering physical activity and workshops to young people.

Based within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences, we champion digital innovation to futureproof your skillset. This ranges from headsets with eye-tracking software to improve coaching skills to a brand-new Telehealth Hub, which will allow digital consultations with clients and has a green room to record professional treatment videos.
