My background is working within high schools, academies, further education colleges and 6th Forms working with students aged between 11 – 19 to support them with career planning and achieving their aspirations. For 16 years, I am proud to have helped thousands of young people to gain clarity and focus around how to achieve their career and life goals, and I am passionate about raising peoples aspirations and promoting equality of opportunity for all.
I have also worked within the Public Health sector supporting young people with making positive life, sexual health and relationship choices. I was responsible for providing information, advice and guidance around healthy relationships, contraception, consent and sexual health.
I have personal experience of undertaking a degree apprenticeship and as such, I have an appreciation of the challenges that this pathway may present. I am very happy to be in a position where I can support student officers throughout the PCDA and help to overcome some of these challenges, and to make their learning and career journey as fulfilling as possible.
Throughout my career within the Education and Public Health sectors, and through my own personal journey, I have gained an understanding of the obstacles that life can throw at us. As a consequence, I take a holistic approach to supporting students and aim to support individual students as best I can with their individual needs.
