I am a Senior Lecturer for Staffordshire Business School. I have been teaching for over 10 years having joined Staffordshire University in 2010. My current teaching focus is within the accounting and business area and my current focus of research includes student expectations, innovation in teaching practices, financial regulation and fraud management.
Prior to lecturing I mostly worked for retail businesses, from high growth start-ups to mature multi-billion pound turnover international organisations, throughout the UK. My earlier years were in small retail companies predominantly within the music industry. I then enjoyed a long career in management within Tesco’s. I have also worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland within the derivatives and structured notes area.
