Caroline Mattock

Work Based Education Officer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

My background is in teaching, learning and assessment and, for the past 12 years, I have worked in the private sector for a Work Based Training Provider.

Delivering full apprenticeship programme in various sectors. Providing apprenticeships in Team Leading and Management up to level 5, Retail at various levels up to Management Level 5. Hospitality various routes from contract catering to high end establishments, delivering level 2 & 3 apprenticeships.

When apprenticeships changed from framework to standards, I led a small team that developed face to face classroom delivery sessions for various qualifications that were bespoke to various clients. Developing scheme of work, lesson plans and related learning material and workbooks. These were then adapted to suit online learning platforms.

In May 2021 I started my role as Work Based Education Officer within the Institute of Policing team. The role is varied from tripartite meetings, pastoral care, wellbeing advice and guidance to ensuring the students feel supported in all areas. I enjoy being part of the student’s journey over the three years to achieve their PCDA (Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship) and celebrating their successes.
