John Maher

I’m a lecturer in the IoP.

Prior to joining the IoP I ran my own training company called Academy Recruit Training Ltd. I was Director of this company for ten years. We were College of Policing approved providers for the Certificate in Knowledge of Policing. We also provided training in how to pass police assessment centres.

I was a police officer for 30 years with Greater Manchester Police (GMP). I worked in a variety of departments in GMP including the training department. My final posting was as a response inspector at Manchester Airport.
