Samantha Fisher

Technical Specialist (Clin Skills & Sim)

Technical Services

I initially studied Business Computing which entailed things such as web design and database design, and then went on to study Biology. While I was studying Biology, I started to work for a private community care agency part-time and this is where I realised that I wanted to work in healthcare.

In 2013 I started work at High Wycombe General Hospital on a surgical Urology ward. In 2015 I then commenced work at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea working on a general surgical ward.

Expertise

While working for the Royal Marsden, I became the Tissue Viability link for my ward, where I attended further training in Tissue Viability in more complex cases, such as plastic surgery, skin reactions, pressure ulcers, necrosis and more. I published a poster within the trust educating about tissue viability and won awards for my teaching resources.
