Megan Smith

Senior Work Based Educ. Officer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I am the link between the University, Employer & Social Work Apprentices in their work-based studies.

I am responsible for supporting apprentices in their work-based studies, facilitating progress reviews and coordinating evidence to meet apprenticeship and work-based education standards.

My previous roles have been in offending behaviour - working closely with all departments within the custodial environment and external agencies, to support individuals with mental, emotional and behavioural issues.

Supporting people to achieve their goals and overcome difficulties is a huge passion of mine.  Having had a practical insight into the variety of work that Social Workers do, and the impact they can have when working with their clients, has inspired me to join the University to support students on their journey to becoming qualified social workers.
