Alyson Jolley

Senior Lecturer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I have worked at Staffordshire University since 2017 and prior to that, I have worked in colleges and with young people in a variety of roles. I was the Course Leader for the Foundation Degree in Education, PCET and Teacher Education courses at a partner college for ten years. I also took the lead in staff development and training.

I have extensive experience working in the post-compulsory sector including college, adult learning, teaching professional qualifications in a range of work places, and working with young people. As part of the quality team at Stafford College I worked on all aspects of college Continuous Professional Development (CPD), observation team and management of the HE provision quality systems.

I have also worked in colleges in Birmingham and Edinburgh where I taught courses in careers guidance and training, ‘A’ Levels in English and History and lead professional development courses for staff and young people. I originally started working with young people with special educational needs and supporting them in vocational training.
