Annie Andronov

Lecturer

Health, Education, Policing and Sciences

I am a lecturer within the IoP and have undertaken a number of module lead roles since I joined the IoP two years ago. Prior to joining the IoP, I spent thirty, very happy years with West Midlands Police, undertaking a wide range of policing roles – predominantly investigative.

I was born and raised in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. I worked for the TSB bank when I left college, but after a few years realised that I had to follow my dream; a career in policing. Over the next thirty years I undertook a number of uniform roles and many different detective roles prior to specialising as a Detective Sergeant within the Professional Standards Department and the Anti-Corruption Unit

When I retired from the police as a police officer – I rejoined West Midlands police as a police trainer in the investigative training department. I was responsible for the design and delivery of courses such as the Tutor Constable Course, DS and DI course and interview courses for new recruits. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the student officers and therefore made the decision to transition to the University to play a greater part in the delivery and design of the PEQF student journey within the IoP and use my policing experience and teaching experience to the best effect.
