As a passionate marketing scholar, I am driven to push the boundaries of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. Currently, I serve as the course leader for the BSc(Hons) Digital and Social Media Marketing course at Staffordshire University in the UK, where I hold the position of senior lecturer and researcher in social media and digital marketing.

Since joining Staffordshire University in February 2022, my research prowess has shone through with thirteen published peer review articles in prestigious marketing and business journals. Actively engaged in the academic community, I have delivered over twenty presentations at local, national, and international conferences, webinars, and public lectures. Additionally, I have conducted over fifteen social media strategy masterclasses, imparting invaluable knowledge to over 300 SMEs in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

With more than five years of experience in higher education, spanning both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in marketing and business, I have held several lectureship positions, including the role of programme director for the digital marketing professional course. My academic pursuits are enriched by seventeen years of hands-on marketing experience, with a focus on strategic and digital marketing.

My scholarly interests lie within the broad realm of social media and digital marketing, with a particular fascination for the development of digital and social media marketing capabilities that can enhance small to medium-sized enterprises performance. My research portfolio includes more than twenty research papers published in top-tier marketing/business journals.

  • Designed and delivered more than 20 Social Media Strategy Masterclasses to more than 350 SMEs in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire
  • Designed and delivered the Digital Marketing Professional course supporting 38 entrepreneurs and marketing practitioners to develop and execute digital marketing strategies including SEO, PPC search and display campaigns, social media and email campaigns.
  • Co-organise and invite industry leaders to the employer forums providing internship opportunities and career advice to the students.
  • Develop and organise entrepreneurship and innovation competition for high school students in collaboration with industry leaders and entrepreneurs.
