Vanessa Webb

Mentor, Co-founder at Nurture Health and Care Ltd

Justice, Security and Sustainability

I have had an exciting squiggly career across many decades.

I commenced my career in healthcare as a nurse, with a focus on the role of a nurse practitioner and looking at skill mix. I decided to retrain as a doctor, believing that a change in direction would allow me the opportunity to transform areas of healthcare, but was still limited by the systems we work in.

I enjoyed working in senior roles including that of Medical Director and realised there was a gap in police and sexual offence forensic medicine and was able with 3 co-founders to start Mountain Healthcare Ltd.

My latest journey is to be a co-founder of Nurture Health and Care Ltd, which we have designed to disrupt the locum/agency model of staff supply creating an organisation that nurtures our staff through education, supervision and coaching.

I am honoured to hold the post of Chair of Trustees of a new charity, The Maslow Foundation, to address social exclusion by utilising the power of lived experience and being on the board of Survivors In Transition.
