Justice, Security and Sustainability

I’m Baljinder, the founder of the tech-driven education recruitment platform, The Supply Register. My passion has always been around education and disadvantaged children and young people. I was born in Staffordshire before leaving the region to go live and work in Manchester and London to develop my career.

I wasn’t the most academic at school, and in the sixth form, It was a matter of dragging myself through my GCSEs and A-Levels. Having attempted to go to University full-time, I realised at that time in my life it wasn’t for me! But when the opportunity to work and study on a Business Management Programme came about during my first real job in education at the local education authority, my passion for business, technology and education accelerated.

Since that first role, having worked for ten years in education recruitment services, I returned to Stoke on Trent and founded The Supply Register in 2016 - the same year I became a parent. The Supply Register is an eco-system for education professionals and a marketplace for education agencies to connect with schools, academies and multi-academy trusts. It aims to give educators the best possible income for their work while all-important funds can be retained for the classroom.

Since 2016 we have grown to a team of 40, raised £2m in investment and have customers spanning all over England. I recently started an MBA programme, something I have been itching to do for the past ten years.
