Matt’s career started with the Financial Times and Associated Press, in Rome, before moves to the BBC and ITV Sport in 2001. While at ITV, Smith covered four World Cups, three European Championships, hosted coverage of FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League Finals, in addition to England football internationals, IPL cricket, snooker and darts.
Now with BT Sport, Matt works on Premier League, FA Cup, European football as well as being the face of the channel’s National League coverage. He also presented last year’s Ashes cricket and the T20 Cricket World Cup.
