I’m course lead and senior lecturer in Sports Therapy. I have taught on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree since 2015 and have taught across all three levels (4, 5 & 6) of the degree. I have taught and been a module lead on a variety of different modules; clinical, rehabilitation and research. My expertise are in a clinical or rehabilitation setting where I am able to utilise both my teaching and industry experience.
I have industry experience in both a clinical and field setting. I owned a Sports Therapy Clinic ('Warnett Sports Therapy') and worked as a therapist providing sports massage, injury assessment and injury rehabiliation to clients in the local area. I have worked with Burton Albion Ladies FC as 'Head of Medical' where I led a team of qualified Sports Therapists and placement students treating teams from U16 to ladies first XI. I provided pitchside emergency trauma management, injury assessments and injury rehabilitation.
In my current roles I plan and deliver undergraduate teaching, support the students both academically and pastorally, and organise opportunities which enrich the students learning and experience of which I am very passionate about.
