Student life

Whether you want to meet new friends, grab a drink, play sport, pick up a new hobby or enjoy live music, our uplifting, inclusive campus community has something to suit all tastes. After exploring our campuses, you can look at the fantastic amenities on offer in the local area.

Quiet Programme

Open days are busy and can be overwhelming for some of our visitors. Therefore, we have a quiet programme at our Stoke-on-Trent open days. This is designed for students who are impacted by sensory overload, such as on the autism spectrum condition, have hearing or visual impairments, and for applicants who may struggle with social and communication or have anxiety.

This means that a lot of the larger talks and information sessions which would be open to mass audiences are being replicated but for smaller cohorts of students. We have a quiet ‘Why Staffs’ session available in the morning alongside quieter campus tours and a finance talk and our Open Day sessions are generally quieter in the afternoon.

The quiet programme is only available at our Stoke-on-Trent campus due to the size of the event and campus.

How to get here

Our campuses are well connected to local, regional and national transport links. All visitors are encouraged to take advantage of public transport to reduce emissions, and congestion on campus.

Stoke-on-Trent campus

The Open Day registration point is in the Catalyst building on our Leek Road site.

If you're travelling by train, you'll need to get off at Stoke-on-Trent railway station and head out of the main doors on platform 1. Cross the road using the pedestrian crossing then turn right, heading past the station car park. The open day registration point is a short walk from here. If you need further directions, you can find our student ambassadors at the railway station and on campus. They're easy to spot in their red uniform.

Both our College Road and Leek Road sites have excellent bus links within the city centre and wider area. Open day signage will direct you around the campus and lead you to the registration point.

Our Stoke-on-Trent campus is within easy reach of the M6 motorway, A50 and A34 if you’re travelling by car. To get to the Open Day car parks on Leek Road, use the postcode ST4 2DF. This postcode will take you to our main entrance, where our ambassadors will direct you to the nearest car park. The Catalyst Building, where you will need to register, is a short walk from all of our Leek Road car parks. Parking is free on Open Days.

Stafford campus

Registration takes place in the atrium of the Centre for Health Innovation.

If you're travelling by train you'll need to get off at Stafford railway station. There is a free return shuttle bus between Stafford station and our Stafford Campus on Open Days.

The number 74/75 Arriva bus stops within a 20 minute walk of our Stafford campus, connecting it with the town centre and railway station.

Our Stafford campus is easily reached from the M6 motorway and the A34. To get to the open day car parks on Blackheath Lane, use the postcode ST18 0YB. Parking is free on Open Days.

There will be signage on campus to lead you to the right talks and fairs, plus our friendly student ambassadors will be on campus to help direct you around.

I'm grateful that Staffordshire has given me all of these opportunities, helping me on my path towards my career.
