Outdoor education is dynamic and requires creative thinking and the ability to adapt - skills that are essential to be an outstanding educator in any field.

In this session, you will explore what creativity and adaptation means in outdoor learning and how to apply it to wider education studies.

Example programme

We will begin in our brand new carbon zero building at the Woodlands Forest School, where you will be presented with a range of resources that you might have in a traditional classroom, and challenged to bring the learning outdoors to our forest school garden, using a combination of found natural materials and the resources provided.

By the end of the one hour session, you will have created something using a combination of natural and classroom materials, and tested your own adaptability to taking your learning into a new environment.
