Advice for incoming students

We are delighted that you are considering a period of study-exchange with us.

Our Global team will manage your nomination (from your home institution) and when this has been received, send you an application link. Please note we do not accept direct applications.

The team are always happy to help you at any stage of your journey to us, however, there are a number of other teams who will support with key parts of your application journey.

Admissions

Your application will be received by either our UK and Europe or International admissions teams.  Admissions will process your application only when it is fully completed and submitted.  Please ensure that you upload all requested documents as failure to do so will cause delay.

Our Admissions staff will support you with visa and immigration advice. To familiarise yourself with the process, you can check out their guide to the international application journey.

We have published a short guide to support international student applications. The guide lists the documents you will need to upload as part of your application.

Accommodation Services

The university has its own university managed accommodation.  No matter which halls you choose, you’ll be right in the heart of campus.

Many of our incoming study-exchange students use Greenpad for their accommodation needs as they are visiting us short term.  Greenpad is owned and run by the Students’ Union, GreenPad is a free service for students to secure good quality and affordable accommodation.

Many International students choose to stay in Poulson House and London House, which are modern halls of residence managed by Greenpad.  Poulson House consists of studio living and London House is a combination of studios and flats with communal areas.

Life and study

When you are invited to on-line enrolment (following application and acceptance of your offer of a place) your module choices will be added.  The School/department will confirm your module choices to you.

University of Staffordshire Global will inform your School and/or department about your application.  The School/department is responsible for your time-table and modules.

Transcripts

From July 2022 all students on a taught award delivered in the UK will receive a Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).  Paper transcripts can only be provided on request and may incur a charge for production.  The HEAR allows graduates to digitally share an authentic record of their studies with agencies and employers, providing more flexibility than paper transcripts.  We also feel that providing transcripts digitally is a more sustainable approach. Visit our HEAR page for more information.
