We will work with you to deliver this activity in a COVID compliant way

This Masterclass may take place at our Stoke campus or Centre of Excellence in Stafford.

Students will have the opportunity to experience a range of ‘hands-on’ practical activities. They will learn how professionals in these areas make a difference to patients’ lives on a daily basis.  Throughout the day we will showcase to students the wide variety of careers available in health care and provide students with the opportunity to understand healthcare careers from our academics and our students.

10:00 - 10:15 Welcome and overview of Activity 

10:15 - 12:00 Workshop one

 Small group rotations through a series of professional-area based hands-on workshops ranging from: Delivering a baby guided by our Midwifery Team; Learning how to save a life with our Nursing Team’s CPR challenge; Experiencing the Operating Theatre in our simulated clinical environment.   

12:00 - 12.30 Lunch (Students and staff to bring own lunch) 

12:30 - 14:15 Workshop Two

Further small group rotations through a series of healthcare career area hands-on workshops ranging from: Delivering a baby guided by our Midwifery Team; Learning how to save a life with our Nursing Team’s CPR challenge; Experiencing the Operating Theatre in our simulated clinical environment and much more.   

14:15 - 14:30 Feedback and Departure 

To include making an application to a professional health care course at University of Staffordshire.
