Student experiences in Engineering

Undergraduate

Studying Engineering at University of Staffordshire means you’ll get more than just a great education.

Our students are always expanding their learning on educational and inspiring trips to see the latest engineering wonders. Students also get to design and test their own creations, as well as take part in national engineering competitions, such as IMechE Formula Student.

You’ll also have the chance to collaborate with others from across the department, working on exciting briefs, as well as the opportunity to showcase your work to employers and industry specialists at GradEx; our annual graduate exhibition.

Take part in GradEX

GradEX is an annual exhibition of final-year project work by students from across our engineering, computing, digital technologies, policing and science courses. Hundreds of visitors usually attend the event each year, including industry partners and prospective employers who are introduced to our talented students.

GradEX offers students the opportunity to present their work to prospective employers and plays an important role in their ongoing development. Each year, the interactions that take place between our students and key industry figures result in job offers and career opportunities for our future graduates.

Our students

One of the keys things about the course was the diversity. It was really tailored towards the digital age and I spent a lot of hands-on time with CAD systems. The lecturers were also critical in my personal development and professional career.
