Student Training Unit and Extrication Training Vehicles

The Student Training Unit and Extrication Vehicle are used to demonstrate specialist activities associated primarily within Paramedic Science wards

The Student Training Units and Extrication Training Vehicles are used extensively throughout healthcare awards to enable students to get a feel for what it is like working within an ambulance environment and treating patients that may have been involved in a road traffic collision. The training units are packed full of equipment you would expect to find on any ambulance across the country and ensures students are familiar with the setting prior to placement.

The RTC extrication vehicles provides a real-life / real-time training aid which provides students the ability to practice treating and removing patients from a vehicle safely, using immobilisation and manual handling equipment.  One vehicle has been engineered with a detachable roof system, allowing for multiple training session to be repeated as required.  The second vehicle only has three doors so allows for problematic extractions to be practiced.
