Juliet grew up in Stroud, in a large teaching family. Her South African father and Welsh mother – a language teacher - gave her a love of travel, people and languages and Juliet graduated from Manchester University in 1990 with a Joint Honours degree in French and Portuguese.
After cutting her teeth with Barclays International on the foreign exchange desk, she joined The Boots Company on the HR Graduate scheme, gaining her CIPD qualification and heading up the HR function for the new Wellbeing division within Boots the Chemists.
In 2000, Juliet switched to Marketing and moved across to Boots Healthcare International, working to develop the Nurofen brand and global healthcare provider strategy across multiple territories. Since that time, Juliet has led marketing functions across Omega Pharma, sk:n Dermatology, Alliance Boots and Mitchells and Butlers, repositioning and building profitable growth in international and domestic markets for brands such as TCP, Soltan, Botanics, No7, O’Neill’s pubs, and Miller and Carter restaurants, amongst many others.
Most recently, Juliet was Brand Director at Central England Co-operative, leading the Insight, Proposition, PR, Marketing and Internal Communications team through the busiest time in the Society’s history, as the pandemic put the essential services of Food Retail and Funeral Services under unprecedented pressure. During her time at the Society, she also developed the Society Purpose and new branding, co-designed the four-year plan to Board Approval, and led the design and marketing of a new retail food concept store and funeral brand positioning. Juliet currently works for IMA-HOME as a Consultant Client Director.
Juliet enjoys windsurfing and wild swimming. She is married with four children and two granddaughters.
