I am a course lead for the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Post Graduate Diploma course. This is funded through the HEE and students come from a range of public sector organisations and some self-funding. I also provide some support on the Long-Term Health Conditions training.
I originally trained as a Mental Health Nurse after working with the rehabilitation of young offenders. I trained at Staffordshire University and then worked in a variety of different clinical areas from mental health units to community settings.
I then completed a BSc in Nursing Studies and started working in a Primary Care therapy service, where I was fortunate enough to complete a Postgraduate course in CBT.
Since this time, I have worked in private practice and a variety of public sector organisations. I then joined the University in 2020.
I have interesting clinically in working with clients with trauma and long-term health conditions.
I am passionate about supporting students with learning needs to ensure they can access learning and reach their full potential.
