University of Staffordshire launches 2025 Business Awards

Entries are now officially open for the University of Staffordshire Business Awards 2025

It is terrific to be able to start the new year off with such a positive event signalling the beginning of our nomination process for the Awards which will highlight scores of great businesses and business people in the coming months.

Businesses of all sectors and sizes and businesspeople at every stage of their career are invited to participate in one of the region’s leading business awards campaigns.

The 13 categories include a Start-Up Business of the Year category that is new for 2025.

Other categories include Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Innovation Award, Growth Award, Young Business Person of the Year, Team of the Year, Skills For The Future, Business in the Community Award, High Street Impact Award and Alumni Business Person of the Year.

The awards campaign was officially launched at a breakfast event in the University’s Catalyst building on Tuesday, January 14.

The event included a Q&A with University of Staffordshire alumni Andrew Pear, founder and CEO of Reliance Medical. The UK’s leading trade supplier of first aid supplies, Reliance Medical won the Growth and Business of the Year Awards at the University of Staffordshire Business Awards 2024.

It is the third year that the University has worked with partner organisations and businesses around the region to celebrate the very best of the business community.

“University of Staffordshire is a Civic University with a stated aim of championing the communities within which it is based and our flagship awards are a key component of this.

“The real value of this campaign is the relationships that are formed as a result of the connections made and we are very proud to be helping to lead the conversation about good businesses here in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the wider region – along with our many partners and supporters.”

Nomination articles about entrants will be shared daily, Monday to Friday, until the entries close in June. Judging will take place in July and the awards will culminate in a black tie dinner and awards ceremony in the University’s Catalyst building in September.
