Alumni advice
Final year students have benefited from a range of alumni coming back to the studio to share their experiences. The alumni, now in a range of successful agency roles, were on hand to review portfolios, advise on the world of work, and give their top tips on securing internships. This was really valuable for our Level 6s as they begin to understand the range of roles available post-graduation.

Amsterdam
In Spring was a trip to Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands with an impressive artistic heritage. Graphic Design students from across all years of study were part of a wider Art and Design group, that also included Photography and Illustration students.
"I loved this cross-course trip. A great way to explore the city’s rich culture. Enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and made friendships outside of my course. It was such a great experience to share a trip like this with my Uni friends. Memories that last me a lifetime." Thania Rassool, L6 Graphic Design
Students were able to take part in guided tours of leading design and immersive technology agencies, in addition to exploring the inspirational city and world-class Museum District.
One such creative agency the students were able to visit was Wieden+Kennedy. W+K's first international office was established in 1992 in Amsterdam. Their office is now home to 120 sharp creative minds and 26 different nationalities. B Corp certified, joining a movement of people using business as a force for good. They create brand-building work that transcends cultural barriers for a range of global, regional and single-market clients including Nike, Samsung, Montblanc and Duolingo. An extremely inspirational agency to visit to really understand where Graphic Design can take our students.
"I acquired new creative insights through immersing myself in a range of museums. Galleries, street art and architecture. I left Amsterdam feeling renewed and overflowing with creative juices and fresh vigour to get stuck into my course studies." Kodi Amison, L6 Graphic Design
