Chancellors

The honorary position of Chancellor was created when we gained university status in 1992.

The role of Chancellor of the University of Staffordshire is representative, ceremonial and ambassadorial. The position has no formal powers or responsibilities when it comes to the governance and management of the University.

Our current Chancellor is Major Levison Wood, who was inaugurated during the University's centenary celebrations in May 2024.
