Supply chain

University of Staffordshire recognises the need to play a key role in the promotion of sustainable development.  The Procurement Team has created a sustainability policy to support the University's policies around this subject.

On The Catalyst project, the main contractor for the construction of the facility, VINCI, proudly supported the University with the delivery of social value commitments as part of the project. These commitments are already having a positive impact on our students, staff, and the wider local area, cementing our role as a civic university.

Through the duration of the project, VINCI pledged to invest in the wider Stoke-on-Trent area by providing:

  • 20 apprenticeship opportunities through VINCI and our supply chain
  • 4 two-week periods of work experience
  • 4 four-week periods of work experience
